June Beauty Favourites

July 6, 2017

June was such a great month for me in regards to discovering new beauty products. Besides that each of these beauty faves does their job incredibly well, they also happen to be presented in some seriously chic packaging (especially the Kristen Ess hair mask). So without further adieu, here are my 4 favourite beauty products for the month of June.
Olehenriksen Pore-Balance Facial Sauna: I’ve shared an Olehenriksen product before on my Monthly Beauty Favourites post (the Power Bright Mask), so falling in love with this scrub the first time I tried it came as no surprise to me. This scrub is unlike any I have tried before as, upon applying it to my face, it heats up (hence the name “facial sauna”). When I apply this mask for the first few seconds it truly feels as though the skin on my face has stepped inside of a sauna. I love the warming sensation followed by the cooling sensation after I’ve gently scrubbed and rinsed my face. This scrub has been the ideal product for the summer months when my oily skin and unfortunately large pores are at their worst.
Kristin Ess Strand Strengthening Reconstructive Moisture Mask: When Kristin Ess (otherwise known as Lauren Conrad’s hairstylist) launched a line of hair products at Target a few months ago I was SO eager to try some a few products from the line. Unfortunately, because Target is no longer in Canada, I had to wait until I was in the states to get my hands on some Kristen Ess goodies. When we were in New York, I was finally able to pick up a few of the products. I bought the signature shampoo, conditioner which I love but of all the products I bought, this moisture mask is definitely my favourite. Being a blonde, my hair tends to get very dry at the bottom (especially in the summertime) causing my ends to split and break. I use this mask twice a week and have noticed such a difference in the strength of my hair and how soft it is. This mask also makes detangling my hair so easy, it smells amazing and the very aesthetically pleasing packaging doesn’t hurt either.
Vita Liberata Ten Minute Tan: A product that promises to give you a natural looking tan in ten minutes? Yes please! That was exactly my thought when I stumbled upon the Vita Liberata Ten Minute Tan. I began using this product about a week before my engagement photos because I wanted my skin to have that natural, sun-kissed glow and I figured that taking 10 extra minutes on to my getting ready routine a wouldn’t be much of a sacrifice. This self-tanner applies smoothly and you simply have to leave it on for 10 minutes before rinsing it off with water. I get immediate results from the product and the tan only deepens as the day goes on. This is the ideal product if you’re looking to give your skin some extra colour before a big event or for any occasion.
Origins A Perfect World Age Defence Eye Cream With White Tea: For the last couple of years I’ve used a few different eye creams, but often times they’ve ended up irritating the sensitive skin around my eyes and so I’ve had to discontinue use. When I received this age defense eye cream from Origins, I was skeptical at first because of my past experiences with eye creams, but since I’m now in my mid-twenties and have noticed slight signs of aging, I figured I’d give it a try. I’ve now been using this eye cream for over a month and have not once felt or noticed irritation to my eyes. I love applying this eye cream every morning as it not only has antiaging benefits and antioxidants but it also has an SPF 20 which helps prevent against UV damage.
