Flared jeans have always been something that I’ve liked the idea of never felt truly comfortable in. Even back in college, I remember religiously watching The Rachel Zoe project and always “wishing” I could rock flared denim as effortlessly as Rachel did. Even when I tried the look a couple of times (especially when I had a broken foot–see the embarrassing post here) I always found myself feeling insecure. Since flared jeans have been popping up everywhere recently, I decided to take the plunge and purchased this pair at H&M this past weekend. I figured that for under $40 they’d be worth a shot and if I hated them I wouldn’t be disappointed. To my delight and surprise, I loved how they looked and this time around I felt really confident in my outfit and in my skin. I love the slight nod to the seventies that the jeans and Brave wine suede fringe tote lend, and I’ll even go as far as to say this is one of my favorite looks to date.
