How About Them Apples

October 1, 2018

This past Sunday I went apple picking with Jamie and my sisters. Apple picking has been a long standing tradition of ours that I always look forward to and am going to miss desperately when we move back to Nova Scotia. Though, I can’t wait to take our little when they’re old enough. We spent the better part of the afternoon picking 3 bags full of delicious Macs, Cortland and Spartan apples to bake with the rest of the week. We also grabbed some warm drinks and treats from the market store at Pine Orchard Farm before heading home with our bounty. I could tell I was coming down with a bit of a cold yesterday but I was determined to make dinner last night (chicken pot pie topped with homemade biscuits) and an apple crisp, so that’s exactly what I did…with help from Jamie. I woke up today with the WORST cold though, so aside from a prenatal appointment later this afternoon, it’s a work from bed kind of day my friends. While my outfit today looks far from this apple picking ensemble I wore yesterday, this is a combo that I love for fall. A wool skirt (this one is from Joe fresh, I just went up a few sizes to make room for my belly), cashmere sweater, knee high boots and a fun beret.

What I’m Wearing: J.Crew Cashmere Sweater (here) // Joe Fresh Military Skirt (here) // Stuart Weitzman Boots (similar) // Parkhurst Beret (here) // Aritzia Coat (here)
