Yellow Coat, Yellow Door

October 12, 2017

When we were in Prince Edward County a couple of weeks ago we stopped over at the Drake Devonshire Hotel for lunch in their charming restaurant. Before even entering the hotel I was smitten by the exterior decor and had to stop in front of the bright yellow door to snap a few photos. Yellow (and mustard) is such a cheerful colour that always has a place in my fall wardrobe. This mustard coat, for example, is such a great piece to throw on even the most basic of outfits and make it feel special. Besides the yellow coat, I’ve also been finding that well thought out details like ruffles on the hem of a sweater or a simple necktie are really what make an otherwise simple outfit stand out and feel unique to the person wearing it. I’d love to know, how do you make an outfit feel special?

What I’m Wearing: Banana Republic Sweater (here) // Ever New Mustard Coat (here) // Levis Wedgie Jeans (here) // Gap Ballet Flats (here) // Cross Body Bag (similar) // Neck Scarf (similar)
