I skipped my August Beauty Favourites post last month because, to be honest, I was away for most of the month and didn’t review too many new products.

September however was a different story. I found some amazing products that I am now completely hooked on and can see myself using until the very last drop. I know for certain I will be re-purchasing the foundation below and I am in love with a newly discovered all natural Montreal based skincare lined called Pepin. I hope you enjoy my September beauty picks!

Estēe Lauder Double Wear Cushion Stick Radiant Foundation: A couple of months ago I attend the Estēe Lauder fall preview where this foundation was featured. I knew instantly that it was a product that I could see myself using and loving. I am all about convenience and this foundation is basically my coverup/sponge/buffer all in one. I simply twist the base of the foundation for the makeup to disperse, dab it over my face and blend in a circular motion for a sheer albeit perfectly covered and even finish. To make this product even better the sponge easily twists off so I can wash it to clean any bacteria away like I do with my Beauty Blender.

Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish in Ripped Denim: I’d picked up a few Trust Fund Beauty nail polishes a couple of years ago and liked them but never thought much more of them then that. Recently Blossom Lounge started stocking the Trust Fund brand and I was reintroduced to their fun colours and seriously quirky names…compared to some “ripped denim” is tame. I love dark, moody nails in the fall and this blue meets grey colour fits the bill perfectly. I have nothing else comparable to it in my nail polish collection so for me it was a must have. Besides the great colour, Trust Fund Beauty is a vegan and cruelty-free brand and offers 10-free nail polishes meaning they are as non-toxic as possible without sacrificing the quality of the polishes.

Nyx Sweet Cheeks Blush Palette: Besides the obvious Urban Decay Naked Palette, makeup palettes are something pretty new to my beauty arsenal. I used to see palettes as something that would take up precious space on my counter and while they definitely are bulkier than a bunch of single products, they sure do make searching for what I want a breeze! A few months ago I fell head over heels for the Nyx Strobe of Genius Palette which made me feel more confident to try this sweet cheeks palette. I love that there are so basically many shades of blush all in one place and that I have choices between shimmer and matte. So far the colours I’ve been gravitating towards are the top 2 shimmers and the bottom 2 mattes.

Pepin Montreal Handmade Organic Body Butter: I recently received this Pepin Montreal body butter in a care package along with some other goodies a few days before I went on the Etsy Field Trip. I’d never heard of this Montreal based brand but I was immediately intrigued by the almost medicinal looking packaging and minimal design. As soon as I opened the jar I knew that this lightly scented body butter was going to good. I use this moisturizer 2-3 times a week after I shave to give my skin added hydration and moisture and I just love the way it feels. The combination of organic and fair trade shea butter, organic cocoa butter, aloe vera, organic sweet almond oil, glycerin and organic essential oils feel amazing and melt right into my skin. The product does takes some time to soak in so I’d suggest using this body butter about an hour before bed and also note that a little goes a LONG way.
