Maman Greenpoint

June 5, 2017

Happy Monday friends! I hope you all had a great weekend! Sorry again for not posting a #TakeNote on Friday, things got crazy busy with being in New York and I just could not find the time. Hopefully, I’ll be back to the series this week as I love sharing links that I love from around the web with you. Anyway, as you can tell from the title of this post, I had the chance to visit Maman Greenpoint while we were in Brooklyn last week. If you’re a reader of my blog then you probably already know that Maman is one of my absolute favourite cafés in Toronto (see posts here, here & here) so it was a goal of mine to visit at least one location while we were in NYC. Greenpoint was #1 on my list because I just loved the look of it from photos I saw on Instagram and I knew that it wouldn’t be crazy busy on a Friday morning as I assumed the other locations would be. We also randomly stumbled upon the Maman Tribeca location on our way out of New York and Jamie pulled the trucked over to let me run in to take some photos which was super sweet of him, and yes it was busy but SO beautiful! Maman Greenpoint is a smaller café, but like Maman Toronto and Tribeca, not a single detail was spared in this space. Everything from floor to ceiling is perfect and I fell in love with the hanging reclaimed wood tables and chipped painted iron chairs. The baked goods were also delicious! Of course, they had their signature nutty chocolate chip cookie but I also tried the white chocolate pretzel cookie and crème brûlée croissant because they’re not available in Toronto and you know, YOLO! If you’re in the Greenpoint Brooklyn area, I’d highly suggest stopping by this gem of a café…it’s also dog-friendly which I couldn’t believe but was thrilled about.
