Linen & Eyelet Lace

May 14, 2018

Happy Monday friends! How was everyone’s weekend and Mother’s Day? I hope wonderful. I spent Saturday at my second last wedding dress fitting appointment where I teared up about 4 separate times. I was just soooo happy with my dress that Katrina Tuttle is creating for me and seeing it come to life has been such a dream.  I seriously can’t wait to wear my dress and see the look on Jamie’s face when he sees me in it.

Sunday was spent with Jamie’s mama in the morning for brunch and then my mom and sisters for a matinée (we saw Breaking In which felt right for Mother’s Day) followed by a nice dinner. Things have been pretty go-go-go but all good and exciting so I can’t complain.

This outfit is one that I wore in Toronto recently and luckily, I had on my memory card when my hard drive crashed. I was going to post this look last week, but I figured after everything that went down with my laptop, I’d just hold off on posting the few things that I have on my memory card this week. Make sense? This pink linen over the shoulder top was such a score from The Hudson’s Bay for under $25. It works so well tucked into a skirt or with worn casually with pair of jeans or shorts. The eyelet skirt is such a sweet piece (also from Hudson’s Bay) that will look cute with heels or tennis shoes. The stretchy waist band is also ideal because it feels so light and comfortable. This is an easy breezy spring outfit but the texture of the linen and eyelet make it feel well thought out and stylish.

What I’m Wearing: Vero Moda Off the Shoulder Top c/o Hudson’s Bay (here + more colours!) // Highline collective skirt c/o Hudson’s Bay (here) // Nine West Heels (similar) // J.Crew Clutch (similar) // Crap Eyewear Sunnies (here) // Earrings (similar)
