Highs And Lows

{My first time trying on wedding dresses, none of which were the one pictured above.}

Happy Friday and Happy St. Patrick’s Day! We aren’t huge party people over here, but I’m excited to head over to a local pub later for dinner, live music, and green beer and finishing off the night by watching The Boondock Saints (Jamie’s favorite movie) and treating myself to one of these shamrock chocolates I made earlier this week. I also wanted to end this week on a positive and inspiring note by saying THANK YOU to all of you who commented on 2 personal Instagram posts I put out this week. The first was pretty light-hearted, asking you about how you found the wedding dress of your dreams (so many amazing answers) and the second was a bit more personal. I mentioned that I have been dealing with feelings of comparison as of late, so I had my friend and contributor, Blare June write a post all about how to conquer those feelings. You amazing humans were all so gracious in offering me encouragement and even sharing some of your own stories which honestly brought tears to my eyes. I have to say, when I put what is on my heart out for the world to read I am always so shocked at how many of you try to uplift my spirits and share similar stories. It’s truly incredible what the internet and Instagram especially, has done to make this blog a community and I for one could not be more grateful. I also wanted to say that after reading your posts, I have been making it a strong point to focus on what is good in my life and all the blessings I have. Because when I look around I have SO much and there are so many others who have so much less and are still making the best of what they do have which is exactly the way to be. I hope you all have a great weekend, see you Monday!
