Happy Thanksgiving Weekend

thanksgiving

Instead of my regular Highs and Lows post each Friday, I wanted to take this time to wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving weekend. I hope each and every one of your belly’s are full with delicious home cooked food and your hearts full of love. I know my family in Halifax are thinking about us here in Toronto and as are we about them. Knowing that people you love are in your hearts during the holidays (and everyday) makes it easier to get through the times when you can’t physically see them. Luckily for us, my extended family (whom I’ve yet to meet) here in Toronto have graciously invited us over for Thanksgiving dinner which I am very much looking forward to.  We will also be celebrating by cooking our own Turkey dinner on Sunday. I love thanksgiving and love what it represents. It is a time for reflection, and from a personal perspective I would love if you all would take away from this post that it doesn’t matter where you are in the world, If you have food on your table and are surrounded by the ones you love, even if it’s in your hearts, then that is reason enough to be thankful. Enjoy your turkey and pumpkin pie everyone! I will be back posting on Tuesday.
