Floral Cupcakes

This week Friday the 13th marks 3 years since I’ve started my blog (I really hope that’s a good omen) so to celebrate I wanted to create something delicious mixed with a whole lotta’ pretty. The first thing that came to my mind was cupcakes, and then I had a flash back to last year when I made this gorgeous peony topped naked cake. The cake itself took a ton of work that was well worth the effort but this year I’ll admit I cheated a bit with these cupcakes. I decided to purchase the store bought version because for one it’s my blogs birthday so I can do as I please, and two the real star of the show here is the pretty pink ranunculus that adorn these little frosted cakes. This DIY could not be simpler but I feel as though it would be a perfect addition to any birthday party, wedding shower or girls night out and so I had to share! Just like last years cake all I did for this was cut the stems to size, tape the remaining stem off with painters tape and inserted the flowers into the cupcakes. Sometimes the simplest ideas are the most impactful and I think these cupcakes now look almost too pretty to eat…almost.
