What To Expect From Your Wedding Florist

September 5, 2017

Just in case you didn’t already know, I am a flower fanatic. So it came as no surprise to me that discussing the floral vision for our wedding next September was going to be my absolute favourite “task” of the wedding planning process (besides cake tasting, obviously). I feel so lucky that Becky from Blush and Bloom has become my friend over the last couple of years and will be coming to the east coast (she’s also originally from Nova Scotia) to create our florals, whilst more than likely keeping me sane during the planning process, haha! Jamie and I recently met Becky at Blush and Bloom to chat about what we are looking for in regards to florals for our wedding day and while I did have a pretty solid vision in my mind of what I want for our wedding (I say “I” because let’s be honest, Jamie doesn’t really care about the flowers), there were some questions that I’d never thought about prior to our meeting that were mentioned. Being someone who likes to be prepared, and assuming that other brides-to-be also want to be as prepared as they can going into their wedding appointments, Becky kindly sent me over a list of some of the questions you may expect your florist to ask, as well as a few of the things that the couple should already know and/or have. I’ve compiled the questions into a little Pinterest friendly checklist below in hopes that it will help you have a clear(ish) vision of what your dream wedding day is going to look like. I hope that it helps!
