April Beauty Favourites

May 2, 2017

April was one heck of a rainy month here in Toronto. Luckily, there were some wonderful products that distracted me from the gloomy days and aided in boosting my mood. Warm, sunny days are just about her and these products reminded me of that. From a perfume that transports me to the golden hour in Provence, to a pretty pink lipstick that never fails to lift my spirits, here are the products I loved this May.
L’Occitane Terre De Lumière Parfum: Golden hour is my most favourite time of the day, especially in the summertime. I love taking photos during this time but also to simply watch the sun in the sky before it sets is enough to take anyone’s breath away. Although I’ve not had the chance to experience golden hour in France, the new Terre De Lumière Parfum my L’Occitane offers up a tiny taste of what that would be like. The perfume itself begins with zesty citrus notes and slowly fades into a subtle but sweet honey, almond and lavender scent that I just love. I can picture myself spraying this perfume just before heading out on an evening date with Jamie to relax on a patio…perferably in the South of France.
Smashbox Be Legendary Liquid Lipstick in Pink Drank: Typically when I think of liquid lipsticks I think of a formula that goes on wet and drys into a dry, matte finish. The Be Legendary Liquid lipsticks surprised me as they were a full coverage lipstick with a gloss like finish. The colour “pink drank” has been my go-to lipstick as of late but if I’m feeling adventurous, I’m going to give “petal metal” a try.
Le Petit Marseillais Cotton Milk and Poppy Body Wash: For the last couple of months my sisters and I had been seeing the Le Petit Marseillais commercials and were wondering what the heck they were about. I recently came to find out that Le Petit Marseillais is actually France’s #1 selling body wash and is now available in Canada. After missing the launch event I was graciously gifted the line of body washes and have been loving them ever since. Truthfully, I think that they all smell divine but the cotton milk and poppy is my absolute favorite. I love anything floral and I seriously look forward to washing my body in the shower just so I can smell this. For the price, these are a must try!
