An Afternoon at Meander River Farm

September 22, 2020

Although we’re expecting a hurricane (tropical storm?) here at any time, these past few days have been so perfect here in Nova Scotia. My favoruite kind of weather is that when it’s sunny, but there’s a definite fall chill in the air. It comfortably allows for layers and boots and it is simply the best. We had exactly that weather this weekend and made it a point to get outside and enjoy it, which took us to Meander River Farms. The farm was hosting the sweetest afternoon market where live music played, Steve-O-Renos coffee was served and flower bouquets were made. As my sister put it, it felt like we were in an episode of Gilmore Girls, and she coulnd’t have been more spot on with her reference. Edwin loved running around on the grass, listening to the music, and chasing the farm dog around. It was actually so hard to keep him still for photos, but I think we managed to get a few adorable family shots of our day and some of my outfit. I picked up this Lou and Grey dress recently at a consignment shop (new with tags!) but linked a similar one below. Its the perfect pregnancy dress, so soft and comfortable and easy to just throw on and go. The jacket, which is my favoruite purchase so far this season, is also a local find from Wild Lily in Wolfville but you can also shop it here
