On Saturday we hopped in the car and drove about 90 minutes outside of the city to Dundas Ontario to visit Weir’s Lane Lavender Farm. I really wanted to spend the day in the country and hanging out on a lavender farm was an ideal way to spend my Saturday. Kevin, the owner of the farm gave us the full tour of his property which included rows upon rows of lavender (obviously), wild flowers, and a small bee farm.
The property also had a beautiful store that specialized in all things lavender. There were essential oils, bath and body products, honey and a whole bunch of dried lavender of all varieties. Of course I didn’t leave empty handed but I was proud of myself for only allowing myself to purchase 1 bunch of French Lavender…although I’m wishing now I had of picked up some honey and salts (I guess we’ll just have to go back, haha!). I learned so much about lavender and bees and felt so lucky that Kevin was able to show us around and pass along some of his knowledge. For a day in the country I wanted to wear something cute but easy to move around because the air was so humid that day. This cotton blend dress from Revolve has been a piece I’ve worn three times in the last week because of it’s inherently comfortable fabric yet the lace up front detailing makes it feel unique. I’ve worn it dressed up to a party and dinner with heels but for a day in the country a straw boater, espadrilles and a tote felt fitting.
Ps: Revolve is having a 15% off site wide sale starting tomorrow so be sure to mark it in your calendars. They have so many cute dresses like the one I’m wearing here…it’s so hard to choose what ones I want to pick up!
