Frilled Frock

July 31, 2017

Happy Monday friends! How was your weekend? I spent all of Saturday working which I didn’t mind at all because as I had mentioned Friday, I was feeling pretty sluggish last week and didn’t get too much accomplished. Saturday night, Jamie and I went on a date to Cocktail Bar for a drink and then up the street to La Palma. I’d been hearing great things about the restaurant so I really wanted to check it out. The space is gorgeous and offered some serious California vibes which I obviously loved and the food was also delicious. We ate 4 different plates, but our favourites were hands down the tomato and fresh mozzarella and the 100 layer lasagna (highly recommend!). We will probably be back sometime soon to do a more in-depth post about La Palma because we really did love it and it deserves to be photographed, haha! On our way to dinner, we stopped to snap a few photos of my date night look which included this adorable dress from Revolve and a couple hints of pink. I love this dress because it’s playful and flirty enough for date night but still feels modest. I actually find it looks like a matching skirt and top set in some of the photos which I love. Even though the dress is one solid colour, there are so many cute not-to-be-missed details about it like the embroidered ruffles, lattice detail, and fun drawstrings. The dress was also suuuuper comfy and stretchy around the waist which is always a plus when you’re stuffing yourself with pasta!
