Monthly Beauty Favourites: Holiday Beauty Set Edition

December 13, 2016

Sharing my November beauty favourites a little later this month because I wanted to change things up a and share 9 holiday beauty sets that have really stood out to me this year. I don’t typically gift beauty sets to people in my family but I do think that they are the perfect gift for friends, a Secret Santa exchange, co-workers, and of course if you are the person who leaves their holiday shopping to the last minute. To be perfectly transparent, I did receive A LOT of holiday gift sets this year (I’ll be donating 75% of them to a local women’s shelter) but I’ve chosen to only share the few that I truly love and think would make a beautiful add-on to a gift or as a gift in and of themselves. So without further ado, here are holiday beauty set picks for 2016!

Fresh Mini Mask Spa: Besdies the beautiful packaging, this Fresh Mini Mask Spa is perfect for the person who loves to pamper themselves. Masks are one of my favourite weekly rituals and this Fresh holiday gift set comes with all of the brands most popular offerings. From the Umbrian Clay Mask (my go-to) that detoxifies and purifies to the Rose Face Mask that tones and hydrates, you can bet that there is a mask for every type of skincare need.

Bite Beauty The Perfect Bite Lipstick Set (n/a online, similar option here): I was first introduced to Bite Beauty Earlier this year and have been a fan of the Canadian all natural beauty company ever since. This year Bite Beauty came out with a bunch of absolutely beautiful holiday gift sets (how gorgeous is that gold slip cover and red mirrored tin!?) and it was truthfully so hard to choose which ones to put in this guide. My first pick is The Perfect Bite Lipstick set that comes with 4 mini lipsticks in the colours fig, pepper, honeycomb and nori. The nude-pink-burgundy colour range is super flattering for all skin tones and the compact size of the lipsticks are perfect for fitting into a clutch during holiday parties and of course New Years Eve.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Rollerball Trio: I find perfume and cologne to be very personal gifts to give and I typically reserve gifting them solely to Jamie (unless I know for a fact they’ll love the scent I’m selecting). If you are set on gifting perfume to a friend or sister I highly recommend this Marc Jacobs Daisy trio. The gold, floral embossed packaging of this set makes gifting perfume feel less personal and more playful and the person you are gifting this to is guaranteed to love at least one of the fragrances in the Daisy line-up (I actually love all 3!).

Sephora Stand Up and Shine Prestige Pro Brush Set: This brush set is the ultimate gift for the makeup lover who knows everything about makeup and exactly how it is meant to be applied. Adorned in the prettiest gold, copper and silver sparkly metallic packaging, this pro-brush set is so pretty no further wrapping is needed.

EOS Limited Edition Holiday Collection of lip balms: This gift set is the perfect option for a Secret Santa exchange on a tight budget. I absolutely love the festive poinsettia printed packaging and the 3 EOS lip balms that are included smell absolutely delicious. If I was gifting this for a Secret Santa I’d add a little holiday card and a specialty hot chocolate for a gift that is both thoughtful and useful.
Tata Harper The Multi-Masking Collection: If you are a reader of my blog than you already know that I am a huge fan of Tata Harper. I was given the opportunity to interview Tata for my August Spotlight Series back in the summer and ended up also meeting her this fall, which was a highlight of my year to say the least. While this gift set is quite pricey, the all-natural beauty lover in your life would be so happy to receive this multi-masking collection underneath their tree. This set offers 3 masks that address different skincare concerns. The Resurfacing Mask provides instant glow, the Purifying Mask cleanses surface impurities, and the Limited Edition Honey Blossom Resurfacing Masks boosts hydration. The masks can be used alone or together on different areas of the face for the ultimate spa-like experience.
Philosophy Amazing Grace Gift Set: In my opinion Philosophy creates some of the prettiest and most playful packaging around, and they especially kick their game up around the holidays. This year the Philosophy gift sets are inspired by The Nutcracker which immediately made me fall in love them. The Amazing Grace gift set especially caught my eye with its feminine pink ballerina (sugar plum ferry?) encasing and the soft, feminine scent of Amazing grace shampoo, body wash, perfume and whipped body crème tucked neatly inside.

Bite Beauty Discovery Set: As mentioned above I am completely smitten with the Bite Beauty holiday gift sets this year and so I felt it necessary to add one more set to my round-up. The Bite Beauty Discovery Set is the perfect gift for someone who loves lipsticks and wants to create that perfect pout using some truly amazing products. This set comes with the Bite Beauty Deluxe Agave Lip Mask, Deluxe Line & Define Primer, Matte Crème Lip Crayon in Leche and the Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Beetroot.

Fresh Sugar Lip Entourage: If the person you are looking to gift a holiday set to isn’t a huge beauty buff but still wants to feel pampered than this Sugar Lip Entourage set is for them. This set comes with everything they’ll need to make their lips feel nourished and protected and even offers a serum that offers anti-aging benefits. Who doesn’t need a little extra love for their lips in the winter? I know I’d be happy to receive this gift under the tree!
