Floral and Flax

January 8, 2018

Happy Monday friends! Goodness, what a funny last few days we’ve had. As I mentioned on Friday, we arrived back in Toronto to no heat or hot water in our apartment which was annoying, to say the least. We’d hoped that this problem would be fixed by now but after the hot water guy came he realized we needed to order a part that couldn’t be done until today. So, we spent the entirety of our weekend in our bedroom with a space heater because it was much too cold to venture downstairs. We tried to cook once and it was bloody freezing! It was definitely nice to have an excuse to snuggle up in bed and I did get all of my things from my suitcase unpacked, but I really want to tackle our Christmas decor downstairs and get my life organized and I currently feel like I can’t. Anyway, it is obviously much too cold in Toronto to wear an outfit like this right now, but this is a look I wore in Halifax when the temperature wasn’t too bad. I pre-ordered this dress a couple of months ago on Revolve and only just received it a couple of weeks before leaving for Halifax, so I knew I had to take it with me. I love the shape, colour, floral print and of course, the bow! I think it’s a great winter dress to wear with tights and boots but is also transitional for the spring (which feels eons away!). I did an assessment of my closet recently and realized that I didn’t have that many “day” dresses that I love and so I’m so happy I picked this one up because there’s not a single thing I don’t love about it!
