I Don’t Want No Scrub: DIY Raspberry-Rose Body Scrub for Galentine’s Day

February 5, 2018

Happy Monday friends! I know it may be odd to not see an outfit post here on this lovely Monday morning, but the weather was awful this weekend and I was not in the mood to brave the snow for photos. I’ll have a new outfit post up tomorrow, I promise! Anyway, Valentine’s Day is just 9 days away and I am having SO much fun sharing inspiration with you about what to wear, bake and make. This year, I also wanted to share an easy DIY project that would be perfect to gift to your girlfriends on “Galentine’s Day”. This pretty pink raspberry-rose scented body scrub smells amazing and looks oh so pretty. Plus, the playful little take that says “I don’t want no scrub” (calligraphed by the lovely Paula Lee) is the perfect addition to give your best gals a laugh. Keep reading to see how you can put this pretty pink scrub together in just minutes and make your gal pals feel extra special this Valentine’s Day.

What You Will Need:
1 cup sugar
1 cup coconut oil
4-6 drops of rose otto oil
1 tsp freeze-dried raspberry powder (in a food processor, blend freeze dried raspberries until they’ve turned into a powder. Sift the powder through a mesh strainer and discard the seeds)
Dried rose petals

Add all ingredients to a bowl except for the rose petals and mix until combined. Transfer your scrub into a container, top with dried rose petals and finish by tying a pretty little gift tag around the scrub.
