December Beauty Favourites

January 11, 2017

Writing this Monthly Beauty Favourites segment has been so much fun for me because over the last year and a half I’ve gotten to experiment with products that I may not have pushed myself to try otherwise. One thing that I’ve loved most about this segment though is that I have made it a point to add in at least 1 all natural product every month because I know that it is important to be mindful of what I am putting in my body and taking small steps to achieve that has been a goal of mine. I’m pleased to announce that in collaboration with Canadian beauty company Clementine Fields, Decembers favourites are all 100% natural. I’ve picked my top 3 products from their website to share with you today but there are SO many other amazing products that I suggest you check out for yourself (here, here and here for example). I hope you enjoy my picks!

Vintners Daughter Active Botanical Serum: There’s really no way to get around it, this serum is expensive…the most expensive item in my skincare regime to be honest but it is so so worth it. I’ve been using Vintners Daughter for 2 months now (day and night) and can honestly say it is the best thing I have ever put on my face (seriously, it deserves its own blog post). Vintners Daughter is a 100% all natural and organic serum comprised of 22 of the world’s most active organic and wildcrafted botanicals. It does absolutely everything from helping fight acne to reversing signs of aging and preventing wrinkles. It brightens, firms, lifts and keeps my skin hydrated while still combating excess oil. I have been suffering with acne for over a year now and this little bottle of heaven has completely changed my skin and my confidence.

Ilia Fade into You Powder: I have always had pretty oily skin, especially on my t-zone, and while the Vintners Daughter serum has helped clear up some of the excess oil on my skin I still find by the end of the day my nose and forehead are a little shiny. I’m not sure why I’d never used a translucent finishing powder before but I’m so glad that I picked up this all-natural one from Ilia. It comes in both this loose container or a push up version with a brush that I’ve linked above. I love that I only need the tiniest bit of this to swipe across my t-zone meaning that it will last forever and most importantly I love knowing that if I inhale any excess powder while I’m brushing it on that it’s not chock full of chemicals. This powder also contains Passion Fruit and Rosemary Oil which offers anti-inflammatory properties to help soothe the skin.

Leaves Of Trees Lavender Tangerine Deodorant: I’ll be the first to admit that I change-up my deodorants often because unfortunately I find that my body gets used to them after about a month and they tend to stop doing their job . I’ve used all natural deodorants for about a year now and this one from Leaves Of Trees has been a definite favourite. It smells fresh and energizing and the cream goes on smooth and dries very quickly. It has kept me fresh all day thus far so fingers crossed it will keep working! I’m also a huge fan of the packaging which is an added bonus.
