Snow Day

December 19, 2016

Happy Monday guys! Can you believe that it is only 6 days until Christmas and that there are only 5 days left of shopping!? I have soooo much to do but I’m trying to just relax and not stress myself out, tis’ the season to be jolly after all. I am so thrilled that we are back home in Halifax (especially after that drive) and could not wait to check out a couple new spots that have opened up downtown as soon as we arrived back. On Saturday I asked Jamie if he wanted to go on a little coffee shop date to Weird Harbour and walk around Granville Square to check out the local Wishbook pop-up shop. I had wanted to go since seeing the photos that NXN Photography shot and before they closed up on Sunday. Before heading for coffee we grabbed a couple of photos of my cozy and casual outdoors inspired outfit. I was so grateful to have my new army green Parajumpers Long Bear jacket with me because it was freezing outside and it also started snowing shortly after we finished shooting. If you’re unfamiliar, Parajumpers is a luxury, Italian outerwear company that was born in 2005, when designer Massimo Rossetti became inspired in a bar in Anchorage, Alaska. Each item in the collection is inspired by original military designs and even carries over details such as hooks and parachute clips. I decided to take my hook off for these photos but I love that I can add it back on when the weather is severe to secure my hood on my head! After we finished up outside we ducked into Weird Harbour, the cutest new café on Barrington street to warm up with an eggnog latte, chai latte and snuggles. It was the perfect snowy day and one that I won’t soon forget.
