When Jillian Harris announced her latest collaboration with Etsy I was ecstatic. Not only do I love Jillian, but I’m also such a huge Etsy fan (we found so many great pieces for our wedding through Etsy). I was even more ecstatic to see that one of my absolute favourite Vancouver based designers, Emma Knudsen was designing a Jilly version of her Lauren Dress for the collaboration. I’ve been a fan of Emma Knudsen since her collection launched back in 2016 (see Spotlight feature here) and have loved my blush Lauren dress to bits. This version, with long sleeves, a pearl button closure and of course, the holiday red colour was screaming my name…I knew I had to have it. I, like everyone else, watched my clock and ordered as soon as the collection launched! I ordered a size small even though I am typically an xs because I’m pregnant…but to be honest, I still could have gotten away with an xs. As of now, there are only a few size smalls and mediums left in this dress but fear not, if you wash and dry this dress in the regular machine, it will shrink about a size…which is exactly what I did (it’s been washed and dried in these photos). I just love this dress to pieces and can’t wait to wear it to basically every holiday party, event, occasion that comes my way these next couple of months.
PS: Another piece from the collection I am absolutely in LOVE with but didn’t buy is this charcuterie board/serving tray *ahem Christmas present ahem*, haha! I think it is SOO beautiful and would make the perfect heirloom piece that would be treasured forever. It’s also such a great Christmas gift to give to any entertainers out there…clearly I’m just hinting away now.
