If I said to you that I was planning on wearing an outfit that consisted of pink, blue, stripes, plaid and velvet…At first, you miiight think that I lost it. However, when you see it all together I think you’ll agree that in fact, this outfit is playful and holiday in an unexpected way. It has become increasingly more difficult to find clothing that is flattering on this ever-growing body, especially outfits that I want to share on the blog that aren’t dresses. So, when I came across these velvet culottes from Joe Fresh with a stretchy waistband, I built this entire look around them. I could have went more basic with neutrals like a cream turtleneck, brown slides or ankle booties, but I thought to myself, why not go bold and have some fun…tis’ the season after all! I ended up loving how the pink and blue contrasted against each other and the mix of patterns and textures feel so fun and holiday! Sometimes you just have to put it all out there and hope it works…and in this case, I think it did!
