Layering is one of those things that can be tricky. Either looking really great, or ending up looking and feeling really bulky. Start with the basics, putting a denim shirt over a simple shift dress looks cute, but buttoning (in my case zippering) it to the top makes a bolder statement. The dress suddenly becomes more skirt-like and adds a bit of a flirty element. Go a step further and add a spring blazer in a cotton material. This one is great because it has a striped lining that gives the look some dimension through print (similar here). The weather this day was perfect for showing some leg but still covering up on top.
