Coffee in Canary

March 13, 2017

I think that I may have spoke too soon when I said that spring was here. I didn’t realize that it was possible to go from +18 to -18 within the span of a week, so now I am seriously contemplating hibernating for the next little while until this cold front passes. I tell you, I am not built for this weather and am especially not built for this apparent storm that is supposed to hit us within the next couple of days. I am soooo over having to layer up and wear dark, dreary clothing. So much so that I even shed my closet of about half of my winter clothes the other evening just so I could somewhat feel like it was spring. Anyway, my point to this rant is simply to say that we didn’t exactly get around to shooting any photos outside because it is just too damn cold. So, Instead of freezing our butts off, Jamie and I headed over to the newest Dark Horse Coffee in the Canary District the other day to take some photos and enjoy a little coffee date. This Dark Horse has to be my favourite out of all of them and it’s easy to see why with the bright white open concept, marble tables, and cozy seating. The latte art was also incredibly impressive (just look at that swan!) and the guy working was so accommodating to us taking photos which is always nice. I’ve been trying to find ways to add lighter colours into my wardrobe without sacrificing warmth and I felt like this casual, lilac crop top was the perfect way to do it. While the ripped jeans and flats were still a bit daring for the weather outside I was perfectly comfortable inside with a warm drink. I am also obsessed with my new glasses from BonLook. I’ve been wearing them nearly every day since getting them. I just love how they add an element of interest and fun to even the most casual of outfits.

What I’m Wearing: Sweater; Aritzia (similar) // Jeans; Levis (here) // Flats; Same Edelman (here) // Bag; J.Crew (here) // Glasses c/o BonLook (here)
