One thing that I have noticed about my blog, particularly my food posts, is that I don’t often do baking posts. I usually stick to what I know and that is dinner time. As you can see here and here almost all of the recipes I have made are either dinner or snacks. I can confidently say that I have never been a baker. I always make a mess and tend to leave out important parts of the recipes (baking soda for example). But I think that it is important to step outside your comfort zone every once in a while and give something you don’t normally do a try, you may wind up pleasantly surprised. I found this recipe after my boyfriend gave me the Food Network Magazine’s November issue (I’ll post the recipe at the bottom). As I was surfing through the pages my eyes were (not surprisingly) catching all of the meal ideas, but I kept on going, not stopping at go, right on back to the deserts section where I found what looked like the perfect dessert for me to try…Cranberry Cupcakes! I read the instructions carefully and I took my time during each step. The cupcakes turned out better than I had imagined and I think I will be trying to bake more often from here on out!
