Birthday Dress And End Of Summer Thoughts

August 28, 2019

Hi Friends! Goodness, it’s been yet another long stretch since I’ve posted on the blog so it feels nice to be sharing a little outfit post from my birthday. Because Edwin has been such a high needs/high strung little guy Jamie and I haven’t really been able to go on many dates alone together…that is until last week! It has been about a month now that Edwin has been sleeping from around 6:30-12:30 without waking (though the last 3 days he’s done 6:30-4am which has been amazing!) and we felt comfortable enough to head out on a date with a babysitter at home (aka my mama). Jamie took me out to Le Caveau at Grand Pre Winery and it was such a lovely evening. He gave me the most beautiful flowers from KoKo Mod Floral, there was live music and dancing at the restaurant and we met the sweetest couples at our communal table. Oh, and the food and wine was delicious too! It was a great evening and just what Jamie and I needed to reconnect and be us for a few hours. I spotted this dress on sale at Urban Outfitters when I bought this dress and ended up buying it on a separate day because it was still there in my size. I really liked how modest the dress felt with the long hemline and sleeves but the neckline made it feel a little sexier…especially now that I have boobs, haha! I legitimately can’t believe that August is over and we’re headed into the fall. I felt like the summer was never going to arrive this year but now that it is over, I am really excited for fall and Edwin’s first Thanksgiving, Halloween and soon enough, Christmas! I’m also going to be welcoming the cooler weather and everything that the fall brings with open arms. Who else is excited for fall!?
