Jillian Harris - Ways to get your home ready for spring - Erin Sousa-7

Gooooood morning lovelies!! I don’t know about you but I’ve got spring on the brain and so does Erin Sousa, Founder and Creative Director of Sparkle Media. Today Erin is taking over the blog and sharing simple ways you can get your home ready for spring!! Take it away, Erin, the stage is yours!!

Hi again!! Erin here!! Ohhh my gosh, how excited are we all for spring?! This year, it feels like winter just won’t quit! I’m so over it, and ready to welcome a fresh start. When the season starts to change, I’m all about refreshing our home – I like to clear out the clutter, change over my closet, and get things freshened up! Hello flowers, freshness, and new décor! I’m so IN! Adding even a few of these into your home will welcome spring… so set up your Spring inspo pinboards, and get your pinning finger ready!Jillian Harris - Ways to get your home ready for spring - Erin Sousa-5Jillian Harris - Ways to get your home ready for spring - Erin Sousa-6Jillian Harris - Ways to get your home ready for spring - Erin Sousa-7Jillian Harris - Ways to get your home ready for spring - Erin Sousa-8

1. BLOOMS, BLOOMS, BLOOMS:

Take me to the nearest flower shop! I love adding in seasonal blooms to my home – a big bunch of tulips (these are called Parrot Tulips, aren’t they so pretty?) on my coffee table, and pretty little bundles beside the bed, on a bookcase, and at my entryway table are all places I like to see fresh flowers. They just brighten up your home and make you happy!Jillian Harris - Ways to get your home ready for spring - Erin Sousa-12 Jillian Harris - Ways to get your home ready for spring - Erin Sousa-13

2. FRESH WHITES:

There’s nothing like fresh white linens on your bed, and after a while, and yes, even with regular washing, they can start to look a little dull. Sleeping on fresh sheets feels so delicious, but looks even better, so why not swap out your pillow cases for fresh ones, or consider a fresh duvet? Some of my fave places to get fresh bedding is The Cross, Rothman & Co., or Homesense.

3. SPRING SCENT:

Saje Wellness makes the prettiest diffusers that are almost like a little piece of décor, and their 100% natural essential oil blends (I love the After The Rain one right now!) keep my home smelling fresh and yummy! If I forget to turn it on when I get home, my husband makes sure to, lol. I love the idea of giving your home a seasonal scent, don’t you?!Jillian Harris - Ways to get your home ready for spring - Erin Sousa-3Jillian Harris - Ways to get your home ready for spring - Erin Sousa-4

4. WALL DECOR:

This one is for the flower obsessed (hands up!). If you really want to bring the outside in, wall decals are a colourful way to spruce up your space for spring! These flower decals take my floral obsession to the next level! The blooms are bold way to dress up a room, without the commitment – they stick on, and are removed just as easily and can be arranged however you like! Pink couch, optional 😉

5. INFUSED WATER:

I’m allllways trying to drink more water! I just feel so much better when I do! I find the more of an event I make it, a pretty glass, straw, and fresh citrus and berries, the more I WANT to drink it. I even keep a pitcher full in my fridge, and try to finish it during my work day. Just slice up some lemons, oranges, throw in some ice, and maybe some berries, if you have them on hand, and you have a fresh and tasty infused water that you’ll actually be excited to sip!

Well, there you have it! I hope some of these ideas inspire you just as much as they’ve inspired me!

Until next time!
