Aztec Triangle Nails with Revlon Nail Art Expressionist

July 16, 2013

revlonnailart1A couple of weeks ago Revlon graciously sent over a few of their latest nail polish collection colours, and I couldn’t have been more enthused to give them a try!  “The Revlon Nail Art Expressionistâ„¢ is a palette of 10 curated color combinations. A skinny nail art brush on one side allows you to create a mani-masterpiece.” I received 5 of these color combos (all of which I love) and have used 3 to create this nail art look. For someone who has literally never done nail art, I was completely impressed with how easy it was to use the skinny nail art brush to create the precise triangle designs. If you want to win EVERY nail art colour in the Revlon Nail Art collection head over here and enter your nail art designs to win! And Check out how I created my nail art below!

nails1-1Step 1: I started by using the Silhouette colour as the base coat. Using the nude color on all of my nails except for my ring finger that I painted in the the sparkly bronze colour.

revelonnailart4Step 2: I allowed the base coat to fully dry after 3 coats (it was a sheer colour so it needed more) and then with the skinny nail brush (the bronze colour) free handed a triangular shape and continued on each finger, filling in the triangular shape.

I allowed that to dry and then did the same with the bright yellow. For my ring finger, I did the same as step #2, except using the bronze colour as a base and the yellow colour as my triangle.
