Holiday Cheer At The Stockyards

Holiday shopping in Toronto takes serious determination. Although I love and find myself at big malls like The Toronto Eaton Centre and Yorkdale quite often, I usually get anxiety walking through those crowds. The Stockyards is a newer development on St. Clair West that allows me to visit all of my favourite stores like Target, Old Navy, and Winners, and lets me breathe a little easier, because I get to walk outside to get into the stores. I was invited to attend the Christmas tree lighting at the Stockyards last week and said yes immediately because 1. there was free hot cocoa from Second Cup, and 2. I honestly shop at the Stockyards all of the time. I even took my mom to the Stockyards when she was here visiting from Halifax…but I may have just wanted to go to Old Navy’s 50% everything sale.  I was given a gift card to Target, which is one of my favourite stores to find holiday items, and picked up all of my wrapping supplies with my sister that evening after the tree lighting. It was the perfect winter evening spent with my sister, being silly and sipping hot cocoa.
